Heavy Load premieres at South by Southwest
Award-winning director Jerry Rothwell's documentary Heavy Load had its world premiere at legendary film and music festival South by Southwest in Austin, Texas in March. Keen to capture the joy and exuberance of this unusual punk outfit, Rothwell spent two years following Heavy Load as they struggled with the problems of ego and ambition that face all bands as well as the constraints that accompany their learning disabilities. Heavy Load's first screening went down a storm in Austin, and the band delighted fans with a gig that showcased the vivacity they have become renowned for on the underground punk scene.
