We are very excited to announce that Met Film Production's latest feature, Foxglove, currently in development, has just been selected to take part in Film London's Microwave, the highly successful micro-budget film-making scheme supported by BBC Films. Microwave challenges film-makers to shoot a feature film for a budget not exceeding £100,000 and will produce 10 films in total. Foxglove was chosen from 87 applications, which were then whittled down to 11 shortlisted projects. Along with Strawberry Fields, Foxglove emerged from an intensive four-day development programme, which culminated in a competitive pitch process, and became the seventh project to be greenlit. Foxglove will be directed by Ornette Spenceley, who also co-wrote the script with his sister Kate, and produced by Stewart Le Marechal. Foxglove is a tense psychological drama that tells the story of two delinquent teenagers who hide out at a farm whilst on the run, only to become imprisoned by the bitter farmer. Initially they endeavour to escape, but when one develops a connection with the farmer it adds to the ever increasing tension between the teenagers.
