4 RTS West Awards for LAST BREATH

MetFilm’s 2019 success LAST BREATH wins the Royal Television Society West of England awards in all four nominated categories.

In addition to being awarded Best Documentary (MetFilm Production & Floating Harbour), LAST BREATH took home the awards in main categories Best Sound (Ben Baird), Best Composer (Paul Lenard Morgan), and Best Editor (Sam Rogers) in last night’s ceremony.

LAST BREATH follows the incredible story of a commercial diver who is stranded on the seabed with 5 minutes of oxygen, but no chance of rescue for more than 30 minutes. With access to amazing archive, this is the true story of one man’s impossible fight for survival.

The critically acclaimed documentary has turned into an instant audience favourite ever since its release on Netflix last year.

LAST BREATH is directed by Alex Parkinson and Richard Da Costa and produced by MetFilm Production and Floating Harbour Films.

The Royal Television Society was founded in 1927 and recognises excellence in programming and broadcasting annually across a number of regional awards. The 2020 edition of the annual Royal Television West of England Awards were hosted by Deborah Frances-White a first-ever virtual edition.
